Camp Katur Wedding, Bedale, North Yorkshire

Camp Kátur is the perfect alternative wedding venue set in a magical woodland setting that will give any couple an unforgettable experience . Set within the heart of North Yorkshire near Bedale, this 250 acre English Country Estate is an all in one Glamping & Camping village which offers unique accommodation.

Woodland Ceremony

The Woodland Ceremony area is nestled amongst stunningly beautiful tall pine trees, this tranquil intimate space can accommodate 130 guests seated on tree trunk style bench seats and up to 200 guests standing. The area is naturally beautiful therefore you should not need to do too much to it other than dress it with a few buntings, candles and flowers.

I started the day a few miles away for Sarah’s bridal preparation before heading over to Camp Katur to grab a few scene setting pictures. To Sarah’s surprise, Joe had organised the most beautiful horse drawn carriage to take her and her father over to the camp. With a ceremony taking place in the open you are totally reliant on the weather. Thankfully, on this day it couldn’t have been better. The whole of Camp Katur is a photographers dream when it comes to capturing a wedding.

With the ceremony over i took Sarah & Joe to a few of the many places that are on offer for a one to one session. Again, i was spoilt for locations. Onto the evenings celebrations in the barn which was beautifully decorated and continued the rustic country feel. A set of great speeches by the guys followed by a firework display and the couple first dance.
