The beautiful 15th Century St Peters Church in Pickering was the setting for Emily & Pete”s wedding. With no groom or bridal preparations, its where the days coverage began and i photographed the ceremony as it all unfolded. I rarely ever produce a full set of black & white images from a wedding but as this wedding was predominately documented i felt the story was best presented this way. As i waited for the arrival of Emily i took  the opportunity to capture pictures of Emily & Pete’s two children as they waited at the entrance. Children always make a great subject matter at weddings and i love the images i caught of them here and throughout the ceremony. With the arrival of Emily, it was then simply to document the ceremony and to capture the fun and emotion of the moment whilst keeping an eye on the two children. They always do the unexpected and i wasn’t disappointed.

Here is just a small selection of my favourite images i have selected from the mornings ceremony and a couple from the evenings events. Enjoy
