York Pavilion Wedding – Rachel & Daniel
Rachel & Daniel contacted me the previous year about me possibly of me photographing their York Pavilion wedding. knowing they would be having their ceremony at this beautiful grade II listed building, and the ceremony at St Wilfred’s Church i was thankful I had the day available. On the day of the wedding, i headed over to Rachel’s parents house to capture the bridal preparations before the drive into the centre of York.
St Wilfred’s Catholic Church
The ceremony at St Wilfred’s church is bang in the centre of York and sits in the shadow of York Minster. This wasn’t my first wedding at St Wilfred’s so i knew beforehand that i would be given free reign to capture Rachel & Daniel’s wedding from every aspect. Its a stunning church with its own private gardens at the rear. A perfect tranquil area for some family group pictures. These we did once the ceremony was over.
York Pavilion Hotel
After the ceremony, we headed for short drive over to York pavilion. Rachel & Daniel and the guests, many of which had travelled over from Ireland headed over in a London Routemaster bus. It was a perfect summers day for guests to enjoy the drinks and canapes in the garden. This is also the perfect time to mingle and capture everyone in the most natural way possible. After the wedding breakfast and the speeches in was on to the evenings celebrations and the first dance.
