Merchants Adventurers Hall Wedding – Angie & Andy
Merchants Adventurers Hall Wedding
Built between 1357 and 1368 on the site of a Norman mansion The Merchant Adventurers’ Hall on Fossgate is one of the finest buildings in York. Although altered over the centuries it remains a beautiful wedding venue in the heart of this historic city.
This was to be my first Merchants Adventurers Hall Wedding. As Angie & Andy went for my Lite Package there was to be no bridal preparations on this day. So i arrived in plenty of time to be there for Angie’s arrival with her father. The actual ceremony was to take place in The Great Hall and can only be described as stunning. I love this part of the day as it gives me the freedom to simply document what is probably the most important part of the couples day.
After the ceremony, we headed into the gardens. Again once the formal group shots were completed i simply mingled with the guests to capture the couple and their guests enjoy the superb weather and drinks. It was Angie & Andy’s wishes to have a few photographs outside the impressive York Minster. Obviously if you have ever been to York you know just how impressive the Minster is. Tourists from around the world gather outside and it can make getting images of just the couple rather tricky, but we managed.
Here are a few pictures from their day. Remember this is just a small selection. Enjoy
This was such a lovely wedding to cover. With a stunning venue and the opportunity to photograph Angie & Andy outside York Minster made it something special.
