Rowton Castle Wedding – Emma & Adam
Rowton Castle has stood in the Shropshire countryside for over 800 years and is regarded as one of the most romantic and magical castles in the UK to host a wedding. For the wedding of Emma & Adam, i was actually there as a second shooter. Cheshire’s main wedding photographer and good friend, Ian Clark asked if i fancied the long trip to Shrewsbury. How could i refuse the opportunity to work at such a venue and alongside such a renowned photographer.
With distance being an issue, it made sense to stay in Cheshire the night before the wedding. So the morning of the wedding we headed down to Rowton Castle. Ian would cover the bridal preparations while i photographed the guys getting ready. The wedding was scheduled to take place outside. Would it or wouldn’t it. The weather was sadly so unpredictable that day that the ceremony would take place inside. Thankfully, this was one large and very bright room, perfect for wedding photographers. Straight after the ceremony Ian would concentrate on the group photo’s and i would capture some informal pictures of the guests finally enjoying a free rain afternoon with drinks in the grounds. So once the speeches were complete and we both covered the first dance it was time to leave Emma & Adam to enjoy the evenings celebrations with family & friends.
Here is just a very small selection of images captured by myself and Ian. Having two photographers covering a wedding ensures that the whole day is covered from every angle. Not a shot is missed. If you fancy having two professional photographers cover your wedding then please feel free to get in touch. We promise to offer you a competitive quote.
Finally, many thanks to Emma & Adam for making the whole day an enjoyable and fun experience for us both. And on a final note, next time you want to mess up a flashgun Ian, make it your own.
