Whitby Documentary Wedding Photography – Hannah & James
Whitby documentary wedding photography and a church ceremony followed by a marquee reception in Whitby. This was always going to be a great wedding and one that promised the opportunity for some great documentary coverage. This began with the grooms coverage, a rare opportunity. Its great to get the chance to shoot the guys. It adds another dimension to the day and final pictures the couple receive.
Hannah and the girls had pretty much finished with the hair and make-up by the time I arrived. I love to capture the bride with her parents and bridesmaids before leaving, always keeping it fun and informal. Hannah also requested a few boudoir pictures, a surprise for James. These aren’t included in this bog piece. ( Sorry )
Thankfully for coverage of the ceremony at Briggswath Church, I was given the opportunity to be at the front to capture Hannah and her father entering. Then outside for the confetti and drinks where all the congratulations continued. The guests headed over to the reception, we headed to the seafront for a set of creative, arty pictures. Its the one time i do direct and have full control over the pictures and setting. It works well with documentary photography. Two complete different styles but come together to form a great collection from a wedding day.. Over to the reception for a fun speech by the guys and finally the first dance. Huge LOVE letters offered the opportunity for a great background.
A fab day enjoyed by all. Below is just a small selection of photo’s. If you enjoy the relax approach to this wedding and want something similar for your wedding please do get in touch. Don’t forget to head over to my Portfolio page to see some further examples.
